Comic Book Confidential DVD

A feature length documentary that profiles 22 of the most significant artists and writers working in comic books, graphic novels and strip cartooning in North America.

The documentary starts with the newspaper strips collected into comic books and looks into the history from then on including the EC Horror comics, Superheroes, Underground comix and onto the eighties with Frank Miller's Dark Knight and the Alternative comics scene.

The movie features interviews with a lot of the creators such as Stan Lee, Robert Crumb, Charles Burns, Art Spiegman, Will Eisner and a load more. There's a lot of good footage of various comics being filmed frame by frame while being read by the creator, especially pleasing on screen is Will Eisner's opening Spirit panels.
